Hope Agency for Relief and Development

HARD is a National South Sudanese NGO (also registered in Kenya) established in 1995 at the height of civil war to support communities in the then Southern Sudan region. From providing humanitarian support to IDPs, we have systematically grown into implementing comprehensive emergency and long-term development programmes.

Transform the life chances of South Sudanese children—particularly girls—by improving enrolment, retention, and learning outcomes through behaviour change communication, cash transfers, capitation grants, and teacher professional development in Western Bahr el Ghazal.

  • 21,571 eligible girls and boys with disabilities receiving cash transfers in WBG
  • 297 primary and 33 secondary schools supported in WBeG

Education Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of education programs
  • Provide technical guidance on ASEP and other learning pathways
  • Ensure integration of protection, safeguarding, gender, and inclusion
  • Liaise with education authorities and stakeholders
  • Represent organization in coordination forums
